International Cuts Through Ribbons and Concrete to Celebrate Opening
of Its New OnSpeX Test Center in Cleveland
Cleveland,
OH – September 8, 2004 – CSA International, a leading
certification and testing organization, today officially opened its
new OnSpeX Test Center in Cleveland, Ohio with a ribbon cutting
ceremony officiated by Randall W. Luecke, President, CSA
International and OnSpeX. OnSpeX is a newly launched division of
CSA International providing consumer product evaluation, inspections
and advisory services for retailers and manufacturers.
“Today’s celebration marks the beginning of a new chapter in our
worldwide capabilities and service offerings,” said Mr. Luecke.
“In opening the OnSpeX Test Center, we are now fully able to
provide retailers and consumer product manufacturers with a broad
range of performance testing and quality management services,
delivered by experienced technical specialists. These services will
provide our clients the edge they need to source durable, quality,
consumer-friendly products.”
Following the ribbon cutting, guests were taken on a guided tour of
the facility. The tour showcased the OnSpeX expertise in a wide
range of sectors, including plumbing products, electrical and
gas appliances, power tools, and personal protective equipment.
Demonstrations included performance testing of power saw blades –
cutting through concrete, granite and ceramics – Carbon Monoxide
detectors, gas barbecues, ceiling fans, faucet handles, step stools
and ceiling fans.
OnSpeX focuses on two broad categories: Accelerated Product
Evaluation Programs, and Quality Assessment & Advisory Services.
The Accelerated Product Evaluation Program is unique to the
marketplace. It is designed to provide significant value to the
retailer and manufacturer by offering both certification services
and consumer product evaluation to increase the speed of information
delivery and reduce costly delays in the supply chain process. The
full-cycle program offers factory evaluation, product design review,
pre-certification assessment (qualified lab), certification document
preparation, performance testing, safety analysis, reliability
testing, package testing (ISTA), in-process inspections,
pre-shipment inspections, data collection of QA results from factory
and data analysis of QA results.

including: comprehensive quality assessment and advisory services
for factory evaluations; technical protocol development; product
design reviews; performance and reliability testing; inspections;
