Robert M. Griffin & CSA Group Executives present at 2007 International Consumer Product Safety conference in China
Toronto, ON – May 17, 2007 – CSA Group President and CEO, Robert M. Griffin, along with leading experts from various CSA Group divisions, will be presenting at the International Consumer Product Safety Conference in Beijing, People’ Republic of China, May 21 & 22, 2007. The CSA Group spokespersons will join consumer product safety professionals from all over the world to exchange information, and enhance communication on issues of common concern.
The conference, co-hosted by the International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO) and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People’s Republic of China (AQSIQ), will be officially opened by Vice Minister Wei, of AQSIQ . The theme of the conference is “Consumer Product Safety, Our Common Responsibility!” VIPs and high-ranking officials from legislative bodies and administrative authorities from around the globe are scheduled to attend the conference where they will share the latest information and trends on the development and enforcement of consumer product safety policies.
The following CSA Group spokespersons will be presenting on May 21 at the ICPHSO-AQSIQ Conference taking place at the Kempinski Hotel, Beijing Lufthansa Centre at 50 Liangmaqiao Road, Chaoyang District:
• Robert M. Griffin, President and CEO, CSA Group will be a panelist for the discussion “How to Ensure a High Level of Safety in the Global Marketplace,” 10:30 a.m.
• Sue Dempsey, Vice president and General Manager, OnSpeX will moderate the workshop “The Life of a Product, Pre-market Stage, Electrical and Electronic Goods,” 12:10 p.m.
• Frank Chen, Director, Asian Operations, OnSpeX, will be a speaker at the workshop “The Life of a Product, On the Market Stage, Electrical and Electronic Goods,” 2:30 p.m.
• Doug Geralde, Director, Corporate Audits and Investigations, CSA Group, will be a speaker at the workshop “The Life of a Product, Coming off the Market Stage, Electrical and Electronic Goods,” 4:30 p.m.
